"I moved to Alaska because of its incredible beauty and accessible wild lands. When creating the Wildlife of Alaska itinerary, I chose destinations so remarkable I wouldn't tire of visiting them several times a year, season after season. Come see what I mean!" - Mark Lovegreen
Charters: Laughing Raven Touring Co. offers you more than 25 years of natural history tour driving experience in Alaska. Whether you want to set up a multi-day itinerary or a cruise ship transfer from Seward or Whittier, no operator will offer you better service or more competitive prices. If your group of up to 25 requires transportation in central and South-Central Alaska, we encourage you to check out chartering with Laughing Raven Touring Co.
Wildlife of Alaska:Join us on our new Wildlife of Alaska tour for the wildlife experience of a lifetime. Travel with us from Fairbanks in the interior to Homer on the Kenai Peninsula. We travel in small groups on our own luxury motorcoach. Even in the most remote location, you’ll find the accommodations and food are excellent. Each venue has been chosen for both the incredible viewing opportunities and the naturalists available.
The Equipment: Laughing Raven Touring Co. operates a unique motorcoach. Raven 1 was initially a 40-foot unit designed to carry 47 passengers. It is now a more intimate 35-foot coach and carries only 25 passengers. It rides as well as a full-length coach and is more comfortable due to its 2-and-1 seating arrangement, permitting seats that are one-third wider than most motorcoach seating. In addition, Raven 1 is restroom-equipped and has ample luggage bays underneath. There is no better way to see the sights along Alaska's highways and byways.
Your guide:
Although Laughing Raven Touring Co. is one of the newest entrants in Alaska natural history touring and charter industry, your driver/guide, Mark Lovegreen, is not. He's been conducting tours and leading tour groups in South-central Alaska for over 25 years, seven of which were spent driving in Denali National Park.
During the rest of the year, Mark is a middle school math and science teacher in the Anchorage School District. He began his tour driving days in Yosemite National Park in the 70's. In 1976 he came to Alaska to drive tours in what was then Mt. McKinley National Park. In 1979, he returned to settle in Alaska and drove in the park for six more seasons. After marrying his wife, Cheryl (22 years and counting), he left the park and has driven tours from Fairbanks to Valdez, Seward, and Homer for several tour companies. He now has his own deluxe motorcoach with which he shows visitors Alaska's dramatic scenery and incomparable wildlife on his itinerary with the Wildlife of Alaska Tour, or yours.
